According to the optimized policy of the State Council and Civil Aviation Administration of China, starting on Jan. 8, passengers arriving from abroad are no longer required to undergo quarantine or a nucleic acid test upon arrival. This will benefit both inbound passengers and those returning to China.

The Wuhan Tianhe International Airport has restored eight fixed parking bays, up from three previously, for international flights. Passengers can leave the airport directly after picking up their luggage without entering quarantine channels.

The Hubei Branch of China Southern Airlines has resumed flights between Wuhan and Istanbul and between Wuhan and Bangkok, as well as flights between Wuhan and Hongkong. It is predicted that during the 2023 Spring Festival travel rush there will be 150 international flights that take off and land at the Wuhan Tianhe International Airport. These flights will mainly serve 10 major international passenger routes such as those between Wuhan and Istanbul, Islamabad, Jakarta, Manila, Tokyo, and Singapore.
