25,000 people attended the Spring Festival Gala.

March 4, Huachao, Hankou The festival (flower exhibition) opened at the Wuhan International Horticultural Expo Park. On that day, more than 25,000 visitors came to experience the charm of traditional Chinese culture and enjoy the spring weather.

Members of 16 Hanfu student associations from Wuhan University, along with local residents and tourists, donned splendid Hanfu to take part in a parade, showcasing the splendor of Chinese culture. The Flower Festival, often simply called “Hua Chao,” is a time-honored Chinese holiday said to mark the birthday of the Flower Goddess. During the celebrations, people venture into the countryside for group outings—known as “taqing”—to admire blossoms and engage in a variety of traditional folk activities.

This will be the fourth Flower Festival held at the Wuhan International Horticultural Expo Park. In addition to activities such as a Hanfu parade, the event will feature Chinese cultural performances, a handicrafts market, and other attractions—including a new “water show” staged during the festival, which will run through the end of March.
